LAYOUT ARTIST CINESITE (2020-2023)
Responsible for rough & final layout. Translating the 2D storyboard animatics to 3D space, addressing director & supervisor notes. Staging assets, set assemblies, blocking character action & animating camera moves. Adding in temp lighting & fx to offer more polished visuals. Addressing any technical issues that arise. Providing pleasing scene composition & sequence continuity, tweaking the camera framing, motion & lens choice to the approved animation.
QC ARTIST CINESITE (2019-2020)
Reviewed shot renders before lighting, making sure everything was accounted for & creative intent remained. Diagnosing problems & inconsistencies like broken or missing assets, textures, groom, animation, fx, cameras, etc. Investigating & fixing issues in shot files, or communicating with the department that could. Helping with overflow tasks like generic crowd casting, sequence cleanup, set dressing, layout finaling & setting up stereoscopic cameras.
PREVIS ARTIST DHX MEDIA (2018)
Created 3D visualizations of the storyboards, by staging cameras, set dressing, blocking characters/props & making the right lens choices. Ensuring pleasing compositions & shot continuity in a timely manner. Proactively identifying & addressing any technical or creative problems as well as creating temp props/sfx proxys when needed.
